„Hey! Where’s my bike? Someone stole my bike! They must steal more bikes in Cyprus then they do in the Czech republic!“ I was already making a picture of this island of love in my head. And then I almost fell over bike. Don’t be surprised, Superior spoiled me for the past three years.

Spoiled me with a light blue design with turtle ornaments, I could always spot my bike right away in a huddle of all the other bikes. This year my Sup too on the look of the team bike and is now the “black lady”. Its unobtrusiveness not only surprised me, but also my rivals. After the starting gunshot I quietly muve up behind them and they seem surprised to see me and let me pass. The first race weekend was a big test for my lady. Three different races — short marathon, time trial and cross county — this should prove her quality. Right during the first day she proved that her frame from Extro Lite G7 material is 25% firmer in traction than scandium. My rivals’ bikes bobbed up and down on the long wide uphill rock roads like wild horses, but my “Black lady” saved my energy while elegantly gliding over the rocks. Her rigidity and also her ability to cease the shocks from the rocks in downhill sections were supported by my new Schwalbe tires, which the team is using this year for the first time. According to the look in the eyes of the spectators I was most likely the only woman who didn’t fall on the downhill. Sure, I had my problems and at once point a rock really kicked me, but my tubeless tires Nobby Nic managed to keep me in my path. Petra Henzi couldn’t race for the gold due to a flat tire when hitting a sharp rock and she wasn’t the only one. Right behind her I rode straight into it too.  Right behind Sabina another rock was waiting, but my tires managed to survive everything! I never rode through a winding track with such ease like this weekend.

My ears almost hurt when I read what I wrote, it looks like one big advertisement for my sponsors, but I’m really excited about my new bike and I still have new components to look forward to. All I can say is that Sup 2008 passed the exam with an A+.
